Selfless Love
Saturday November 10th/29th of Scorpio

Today is the last day of Scorpio! We made it. This month has been about
cleansing through the destructive powers of Mars. This month was hard but all
pain leads to growth. And I am sure ready for some magic of Sagittarius, more
on that tomorrow.

For a while, I attended Al-Anon Meetings. These are twelve-step programs for
friends and families of alcoholics. I learned many life long lessons from these
meetings. I found a lot of parents coping with their alcoholic children. The most
important lesson for a friend or family member of an alcoholic is to not take away
the consequences of the alcoholic. So many parents or spouses of alcoholics
inject too much mercy towards them. Life is a balance of mercy and judgement.
Its similar to when a parent reprimands a child; its is wrong to ignore the child's
misbehaving and its is also wrong to punish the child cruelly. We need to learn to
discipline the child with a loving intention to help the child grow. As such with
anyone in our lives who needs help. We need to ask ourselves, "What is really
best for this person?" "What will really truly help them to grow?"   We must take
our own fears and feelings out of the equation and do whats good for them -- not
what makes us feel good. For an alcoholic maybe he or she needs a few nights
in jail instead of being bailed out by a loved one.   In Al-Anon I heard many
stories of mothers going through the pain of letting their loved one just be in jail
and not coming to their aid so easily. We all need consequences in our life so we
can see how we need to change. Eunice Shriver use to tell her daughter Maria,
"If I could take away all your problems, I wouldn't." Looking at life with this type
of courage and trust really creates a strong independent functional person. And
loving someone any other way is just plain selfish.

Leadership
Success in leadership isn't about charisma, or power, or appearance. It isn't
about power, it isn't about control. Success in leadership doesn't take money,
manipulation, nepotism or luck. The only thing that brings success in leadership is
how you end up treating people and whether you did so with human dignity.

Magic Money
The concept of tithing has a lot of religious context to it. But isn't there some
good things associated with religion? Marriage is pretty nice. And I am sure we
can think of other associations that aren't so bad. At any rate tithing is one of
those good ideas that religion has brought to us. I believe in it whole-heartedly
and many successful people have always tithed. Oprah Winfrey has said to have
tithed even when she made 20k a year. And we know what happened to her.

Tithing is about removing negativity. Let me explain. The world according to
energy experts and scientists consists of ten dimensions. The tenth dimension is
where we live. This world bound by gravity, limitations, death and the laws of
what can go wrong, will go wrong. When we tithe, we take out 10 percent (one
dimension worth) of the our earnings. As a result the money then becomes free
from all earthly limitations -- it becomes magic. This money is now able to do
more, last longer and be more. According to quantum physics, consciousness
changes reality so this concept is possible! Now as example take $2000 of your
earning money after taxes. Ten percent would be $200. Leaving you with
$1800. Now the choice is what would you rather have: $2000 of regular money
or $1800 of Magic Money?!

I encourage you to give it a try. Remember the law of physics that states: Every
action has an equal and opposite reaction. You give money, you will get
money. Not in ways you expect. But in ways you wont even notice! Orsen
Wells was known to throw hundreds out the window exclaiming, "I can't get rid
of it! The more I give the more comes back!"

P.S. Today is the 27th of Scorpio. I just realized that 27 is the number for
tithing

In Like a Lion......

Only a few more days left of Scorpio......By Saturday evening the influence of
Mars and all its destruction will be gone and the miracles of Jupiter will be
shinning strong! Be prepared for all you've been waiting to happen!

Everything Must Change
I once read a quote that said something to the effect that man should be not to
quick to judge, for his opinion can easily change and then he would be with much
regret. I wish I could remember that exact quote, but the point is I have found
myself thinking many times that I was so sure about something only to realize later
how wrong I was! And then I think back on how sure I thought I was. This is
why we cannot force people to believe what we believe, no matter how right we
think we are. We can't tell people what God to pray to, who they should marry,
who to vote for and what to do. I myself am so glad that in the past I didn't have
the power to make someone believe what I believed in, because as I grow and
learn, I discover how greatly wrong I am on so many things!

Immortality
Monday November 5th/24th day of Scorpio

Today the energy of immortality is in the air. I have always found it fascinating
that we as humans have just accepted death so easily. Maybe we should be
getting angry at the fact that we have to say goodbye to life and our loved ones at
some point. And maybe we shouldn't just accept that at around 80, 90 if we are
lucky, we just die. Maybe we should rail against death. Maybe we should do so
out of such deep love of life. I think its good to fight for life. Don't accept it.
Don't just accept death. Maybe if you we demand immortality we will get it.

It's For the Best
Sunday November 4th/23rd day of Scorpio

It seems really silly to bring up the Golden Girls TV show but I promise you
there is good reason. I learned a lesson from that show that has always stuck
with me. As you may know these four women lived together and really became
like family on the show. As you may or may not know, one woman actually
owned the house while the others rented from her. Well one day an inspector
from the city came by and announced that it was illegal for this woman to be
renting out her home to more than two renters and that one woman would have to
move out! Well for the entire episode it was drama and fear and sadness and
worry. This describes every problem that we as humans face. Something goes
wrong, God forbid its cancer, disease, job loss, lack of money, arguments,
betrayal, anything it may be leads us to drama, fear, sadness and worry. Well by
the end of the episode the idea came about that the city may be able to throw out
a renter but they cant throw out a co-owner. Meaning, the one woman decided
to sell a share of the house to all the women she was renting to and all four
women became co-owners paying the mortgage. I love this story because in the
beginning the problem they faced seemed impossible. And it was! There was no
solution what so ever to the renting problem. It couldn't be fixed. But, it could be
transformed. And at the end, the women's lives were for the better, the
co-owning brought them closer to being like true family members.

Every problem we have in life is like this! We have a problem, we see no
solution. But we must must remember that it is for the best. It is sent to us by a
loving and compassionate universe wanting us to grow and change. Its like the
sand in the oyster, that through time because the pearl. Or the coal that through
time and pressure becomes a diamond. Lets trust and love whatever problem we
have today. Love it. Bless it.   Not because of stupid blind faith, but because the
problem is really something that will benefit YOU!

Karnapidasana
Last night I couldn't sleep. I had a horrible ear ache. I haven't had a ear ache
since I was a child. I've been swimming a lot lately and thats most likely part of
the reason. I have a healing book that tell you the spiritual cause for physical
ailments. Its so fascinating. And for "ear ache" it says it deals with "peace to your
neighbor." Last week a house guest arrived in my apartment and its been a tough
few days so far. Tough how? Physically? No. Emotionally? No. Its been only
my ego getting a big hit. Sacrificing your comfort is the only price that any
spiritual task will ever asks for.   It seems like such a small price but it can gut us
to the core. I hope to be more loving and more at peace this week to my very
very close neighbor.

Waking Up
Saturday November 3rd/22nd day of Scorpio

Is being spiritual an option? Is it just a quality that some possess and others do
not? Is being spiritual a lifestyle preference? I spoke to someone today who told
me that he just wasn't interested in spirituality. He was fine with the way his life is.
Get up, go to work, come home, go out, maybe a date. Then sleep, get up, go to
work, come home. Repeat all week long. Then the weekend comes. Go to
shopping, go to dinner, movies and then it repeats all over again for the next 40
years???? Is this our purpose? I think the purpose of life is more than this. I
cant say for sure what it is for everyone, but I can say with a great deal of
certainty that we sometimes have to look hard and find our purpose and not get
stuck in the physical for too long. We may regret it.

Unity
One of the smartest things I ever heard came from Roseanne Bar on her blog at
www.roseanneworld.com. She said suggested this spiritual exercise: Find
someone you cant stand. Someone who you know for sure has the exact
opposite belief system as you and then spend time with them. And when you find
yourself ripe with anger and judgement and wanting to tell them all the ways you
are right and all the ways they are wrong, sit with that and don't say word. Be still
and speak to them with respect and find common ground. Fight the ego within.
I love this exercise because its the true work of the Spiritual Warrior. The war is
within! Fighting the ego within! Its not outside --- ever! Every enemy you have
on the outside is a reflection of the enemy within.

Silent Partner
Life is a co-created painting painted by us and another force that many call
"God". We do it together. When a couple conceives a child, they start the
process but it continues by this other Force. The joy of life is the awareness that
you are not alone in your creating. The joy of life is the feeling of humility and
mystery and wonder about all your blessings.

The Mikveh
Wednesday October 31st/19th day of Scorpio

Today I went to Malibu and did a mikveh. A mikveh is the recreation of the
mother's womb. You need to be submersed in a body of water of a certain size
and of a certain water consistency. The ocean has these important requirements.
Once in you submerse yourself completely underwater, repeat and dunk yourself
from 10 to 101 times! Its important to be completely naked as clothing restricts
the cleansing power. Not only is your physical body cleansed but your soul is
cleansed as the water removes blockages that are not seen with the naked eye.
This amazing spiritual tool does require believing that there are sometimes
blockages in our life that we cannot see and the belief that water has the power to
heal. Afterwards I find myself to be younger, wiser and more LIGHT! Try it!

The Hardest Thing To Do
What if the money we had wasn't really ours but on loan to us from a spiritual
bank. And the only reason we had it was to share it and give it away? I was
once told a story that when we get to heaven everything will only cost a dollar.
But the only money you'll have to spend is what you gave away during your life on
earth. I wonder how absurd it looks from a distance to see so many of us on this
planet hoarding money while others suffer and even die from malnutrition and
poverty. Today I encourage you to share more than you want to not because you
are gonna get something, but because there are people in need and next time
around it could be you.

America
I just saw on the news a story about how Americans our becoming poorer and
poorer. The middle class is almost gone. We have seen those "other" countries
where the people are living in squaller while the "ruler" sits on his throne with all
the peoples' money. This looks like where we are heading. But the people in
power have the money so why should they care to change things? I hope we all
vote in this coming election and we think very hard on who is going to represent
the working class' needs.

Porn
Tuesday October 30th/18th day of Scorpio

Tonight I was at the gym and there is about 10 TV monitors up for those of us
working out. And I couldn't help but notice that on 4 out of 10 TVs there was a
naked person or persons on the program. Now I wanted to escape the world of
Leave It To Beaver just as much as the rest of us, but a cable world of soft porn
wasn't what we had in mind.

Taking Responsibility
The ultimate form of responsibility is seeing how you indirectly play apart in the
negativity on the planet. How do you enable the situation? (in the terms of
Alcoholics Anonymous) This is bitter to see. For ultimately we secretly enjoy
and live off an aspect of this negativity. We are like secret vampires. I know of
this because of the alcoholism in my family. I have enabled the drinking because
on some level I like when my loved one drinks. I have to give that up. And thats
also not easy. But we have to see the end in the beginning and sacrifice what we
need to.

True Faith
Caroline Myss says that at the darkest moments of your life, this is when you are
closest to God. I guess this is true. Its hard though. But like a diamond, a little
time and pressure is all we need to transform into something really beautiful. The
wild waters of Scorpio are pounding and we can see a massive wave in the
distance. Caroline has said that an authentic prayers is to say to God "I will
accept any wind you blow my way." This is a prayer of trust and Certainty.

Running From Fire
One day I remember being in my car driving with such excitement to go get
something at the store. It was something I really wanted and I was racing to get
there. And I remember thinking how I certainly dont ever rush with such
excitement to help people or to share. It made me feel disappointed in myself.
Oh how the world would be so different if we all raced to help our fellow
brothers and sisters. There would be no poverty, no famine, no disease. If we
wanted these problems gone, they would be. They would be.

People dont want to heal, they want to just take drugs. Why is true healing so
hard?   Maybe they just cant see the spiritual cause for the physical problem. So
they just cant change something they cant see.

Alcoholism the Epidemic
On Thursday night I witnessed something I can't seem to shake from my head. I
saw a young man so drunk he was running around in the middle of the street as
her girlfriend was crying and struggling to calm him down. He then fell on the
grass and passed out and she cried by him. This was on Fountain and Sweetzer.
It saddened me very much. Alcohol slowly destroys are lives and bodies and its
done so without us knowing because the alcoholic never sees himself drunk. Its a
huge problem today. The new Ralphs on Sunset and La Brea expanded its store
recently. But it didnt really expand it shrunk. What happened was its created 3
more isles of alcohol and a pharmacy (drugs). Ralphs even discontinued actually
food items from its stock list (i checked with manager). This new expantion at
Ralphs was really about removing food and adding drugs. I remember the scene
from Back To The Future the movie where the corrupt and power Biff turned
the whole city into liquor and gambling. Thats where we are heading with a
government run by corporations and not the people.

The War Room
My teacher told me recently that life is a war. We are constantly fighting our
desire to think of ourselves. Sharing is so hard. Loving is so hard. That is the
battle. Sometimes we get stuck in the illusion, and we dont even know a war is
going on. That truly is the worst.

Growing Pains
Another thing about Suzanne Somers......
About a decade ago I heard her say that she realized that if a person wasn't on
the Internet they were out of the loop. So she made here self learn to surf the net.
She made herself learn because she wanted to stay modern and young. I feel
that way about text messaging now. If you don't text message, you aren't keeping
current.....

The Womb
Tomorrow I'm going to do a mikveh in the sea. A mikveh is the recreating of the
mothers womb. You go into the sea naked and submerse yourself underwater.
This act actually cleansing the mind, body and spirit. Its really that simple. It
helps to remove blockages in my life.

In the Beginning........
Sunday October 28th/16th Day of Scorpio

Today is a hard day spiritually. I know I am being pushed to grow and I am
frightened but as you do your spiritual work, the work gets harder and harder.
We all have made it through the worst part of Scorpio. The moon is on its 16th
part. The fires, metaphysical and physical have past....But there is much to clean
up........
